WEDDING MAKEUP | Best false lashes for your wedding day
Beyond enhancing the way you look in pictures, false eyelashes are sweat-proof, tear-proof and will last you all day and night!
There are some great strip lashes and individual lashes around that look really natural and subtly bring you that extra lash line definition that we NEED on our wedding day.
Rather than get overwhelmed when deciding what kind of lash, ask yourself what look you are going for on your wedding day. Your lashes should make sense with your overall wedding-day style.
Your makeup artist will be also be able to guide you on the best shape for your eye and the best style depdning on what results you want, from natural to glamorous to full drama!
Below are some of my fave lashes on the market in a range of price points and styles. I use these regularly in my kit and they are amazing!
Huda Beauty Classic False Lashes
Huda lashes have a cult-like following thanks to their stunning, full styles, excellent quality and ease of application. Huda Beauty was founded by makeup artist Huda Kattan, which in my book generally guarantees that a lot of effort and research has gone into the product from a professional perspective to ensure the product is amazing. They also feature a really durable band so the lashes literally take a minute to apply after you fit them to your eye shape.
MAC 36 Lash
These ones are a staple in my kit as they are long and gorgeous, but natural looking. MAC is a long-loved makeup artist brand, and these lashes are the most popular style amongst customers who want a natural lash that makes their eyes pop. We love that this style features a flared shape that’s angled to dial up the drama on the outer corners of the lashes!
MAC 30 False Lashes
I love these because they offer so many possibilities when I use them. Individual lashes are great if you want to define and add volume to your natural eyelashes subtly. They can also be built up to be more dramatic just by applying more lashes and playing around with placement. They're a really flexible option that can be placed to suit any eye shape and are a great option if you don't feel comfortable with a full strip lash. Plus, they are really high quality so they won’t feel cheap, itchy or irritating.
Velour lashes
Pricey, but they’re the top-rated false eyelashes on Sephora's site with 822 glowing reviews! We love the natural look of the lashes - they’re a stunning if you’re looking for a natural ‘my-lashes-but-better"‘ vibe.
Moxie Lash Sassy Kit
If budget isn’t too much of a concern, you may like to consider Moxie’s Sassy Kit. They’re a magnetic lash which means they’re applied with a magnetic liner rather than a glue, which some people prefer. And they can be re-used again and again. They’re intensely pigmented lashes which are great if you crave mega definition for your special day.
At Killer Queen we include strip or individual lashes for brides and all members of the bridal party in our pricing- both for your big day and for your trial. If you want to bring your own magnetic lashes so you can re-use them after your wedding day, that's totally fine! We’d be happy to apply them just right for you and give you tips on cleaning and storing them after your wedding so you can wear them again and again.
If you are having a makeup trial feel free to bring them along so we can see how they look once your makeup is applied.
And our biggest tip! Take some selfies after your trial so you can see how the lashes will look in pictures- they look a bit different and a lot more subtle in a photo so it’s good to see the difference!
