Where do you travel to?
I travel all over Melbourne, the Dandenongs, the Peninsula, Geelong and the Great Ocean Road, and rural Victoria (travel fees apply). I’m definitely partial to weddings in my local ‘hood (Coburg, Brunswick, Preston, Thornbury- Northside represent!) as I love supporting local wedding vendors.
I also travel interstate (COVID restrictions pending obviously!), so get in touch if you need some magical Melbourne vibes for your big day. There’s basically nowhere I won’t go if the vibe is right and if my calendar is free! Destination wedding? Hit me up if you are considering a destination wedding, and if our stars are aligning, I’d be honoured to join you!
What kind of weddings do you specialise in?
I specialise in weddings that are non-traditional, eclectic, edgy, off-the-beaten path. The wild heart couples, the cool cats, the rebel brides going their own way. I don’t do tradition and I don’t do beige!
I adore doing small, intimate shindigs, same-sex weddings, wild elopements, backyard weddings, wedstivals, wild warehouse love fests, humanist weddings- you name it! If it’s not-your-average nuptial, count us in!
How far in advance do you book out?
I usually book out 6-12 months in advance. With COVID-19, the amount of weddings that have been rescheduled has meant that 2021 has pretty much already booked out. Sometimes things change though, so feel free to get in touch, particularly if you are having a weekday wedding- I often have availability during the week around other work.
What classifies as a ‘small’ wedding?
A small, micro or little wedding is any wedding where it’s more about the feel and the moments rather than the numbers. Where you both arefocussed more on the experiences of the whole day; spending time together; luxuriating and relaxing while getting ready, and having a small, relaxed intimate ceremony that reflects exactly who you are.
No huge guest lists, no bridal parties, no huge numbers of people or moving parts. Just you and your lover having an amazing adventure together.
We can’t always put a number on a small wedding; but we’d say it’s definitely less than 50 guests. Sometimes it’s only 10-20 guests, sometimes it may be just you and your two witnesses. Whatever the case, smaller weddings are here to stay in these COVID times. And we’re all for them.
Having worked on huge and tiny weddings, and everything in between, I can say truthfully that smaller weddings are more special, intimate, relaxed, and soaked in memories. And you know that everything isn’t going to fall apart at the seams if government restrictions come into play. So you can be sure that your small wedding will still be as amazing and special as a bigger more elaborate love party.
What do you need from me before the big day?
Before your special day, I’ll send you a quote with a booking fee amount, which will lock in your date for you. I’ll also send you a wedding contract for your big day for you to read and sign. Once this is all done, your day is locked in and we’ll start our planning.
The balance of your wedding beauty services will be due 7 days before your big day. You can pay that as a lump sum or in instalments- whatever suits you. I’ll send you a questionnaire with some questions so I can tailor my service to you and be aware of any allergies or special needs. I’ll consult with you on your look and organise a time for a trial so that we can try things out and chat further.
